TIN

It is a chemical element of atomic number 50, which symbol is Sn.
It is a silver, malleable metal, which does not oxidize easily and is resistant to the corrosion. He is in many alloys and is used to cover other metals protecting them from the corrosion
The tin (of the Latin stannum) was discovered in 1854 by Julius Pelegrin. The tin is known from the antiquity and already it is mentioned in the Old Testament. In Mesopotamia already there were done weapon of bronze (alloy of copper and tin). Also the Romans were covering with tin the interior of containers of copper.
