ANTIMONY

The antimony is a chemical element of atomic placed number 51 in the group 15 of the periodic table of the elements. His symbol is Sb (of the Latin stibium) and of the Latin antimonium (element).
The antimony in his elementary form is the crystalline, fusible, fragile, white silver solid one who presents an electrical conductivity and thermal fall and evaporates to low temperatures.
Archaeological and historical studies indicate that the antimony and his sulphurs human beings have been used for at least during the last 6 milleniums, though the alchemist Basil Valentine (1565-1624), presented sometimes as the discoverer of the antimony, was the first one in describing the extraction of antimony of his compounds.
