COBALT

The cobalt (of the German kobalt, derivative voice of kobold, term used by the miners of Saxony in the Middle Ages to describe to the mineral of which it is obtained) is a chemical element of atomic number 27 and symbol Co placed in the group 9 of the periodic table of the elements. The cobalt is a hard metal, ferromagnético, of white bluish color. Two of his applications can be: Covering bases of vitrified enamels Pigments (blue cobalt and green cobalt).
The element was discovered by George Brandt, in 1737.
