TALIO

The talio is a chemical element of the periodic table which symbol is Tl and his atomic number is 81. This white malleable soft metal and it is very toxic. It gets bleached exposed to the air. His density is of 11, 85.

It is obtained principally of the particles of the molten smokes of lead and zinc.

It has used as insecticide, though it has been eliminated in many countries due to his carcinogenic effects. Also it is used in infrared detectors.

His discoverer was William Crookes in 1861.

The name of this element comes from the Greek thallos (scion).
