BARIUM

The barium is a chemical element of the periodic table which symbol is Ba and his atomic number is 56. This metal oxidizes with many facility when they are exposed to the air and is highly a reagent with the water or the alcohol, which produces gas hydrogen.
The barium is used in pyrotechnics, also it is in use for covering electrical drivers in electronic devices and in systems of ignition of cars.
The compounds of barium are obtained of the mining industry and for conversion of two minerals of barium.
It revealed itself in England for Humphrey Davy in 1808. His name stems from the Greek "barys" that it means "weighed", in consideration of the great density from many from his compounds.
