In Greek mythology Andromeda (Ancient Greek Ἀνδρομέδα, 'ruler of men ") was the daughter of Cepheus and Cassiopeia, king of Etiopía.Casiopea, having presumed to be as beautiful as the Nereids, provoked the anger of Poseidon, who sent a
flooding on the land and a sea monster, Ceto,
to kill men and cattle. Knowing from the oracle of Amun could not find a solution to marry his daughter Andromeda to the monster, King Cepheus left chained to a rock, naked with jewelry. CONSTELLATION

The Andromeda Galaxy, also known as Messier Object 31 Messier 31 or NGC 224, is a giant spiral galaxy. Is the object visible to the naked eye farthest from Earth. It is 2.5 million light years away in the constellation Andromeda. It is the largest and brightest of the galaxies in the Local Group, which consists of about 30 small galaxies plus three large spiral galaxies: Andromeda, the Milky Way and the Triangulum Galaxy. PERSEUS


Perseus is a northern constellation representing Perseus, the mythological hero who beheaded Medusa. It is one of the 48 constellations of Ptolemy and one of the 88 modern constellations. It is the famous variable Algol (β Persei), and it is localized meteor shower of the Perseids.
The constellation Perseus is a warrior armed with the helmet of Hades, Athena's shield and sword and talares of Hermes, who carries in his hand the head of Medusa, whose eye corresponds to the star Algol. In the celestial scheme, Perseus is included in the set that encompasses Cepheus, Cassiopeia, Andromeda, Pegasus and Cetus.




CEPHEUS

CONSTELLATION

Cepheus is a constellation of the north that represents the legendary king of Ethiopia Cefeo, husband of Cassiopeia and father of Andromeda.

MYTHOLOGY

ERIDANUS

CONSTELLATION

Eridanus is the biggest sixth constellation of 88 modern constellations. Also it is one of 48 constellations of Ptolemy.

MYTHOLOGY

Eridanus was relating especially to the myth of Phaeton, who took the flying car of Heliums, but it(he,she) did not have the sufficient force to control it, and went away in different directions(addresses). The result is that sometimes the car approaches very much the land, creating deserts and burning the skin(leather) of the human beings. Zeus intervened knocking down to Phaeton with a beam.

PEGASSUS

CONSTELLATION

Pegasus (the winged horse) is a constellation of the north, which receives his(her,your) name of the mythological pegaso. It are one of 88 modern constellations and one of the 48 initially described by Ptolemy.

MYTHOLOGY
Pegasus was born from the blood of Medusa when Perseus cut off his head. Is usually depicted either black or white and has two wings that can fly. A feature of the flight is that when performed, she moves her legs as if she was actually running through the air.

Pegasus has an appearance forming (training) a horse feeding, with a great area squared as his(her,your) body. In the antiquity (antique) there were different versions on whom it was the horse. A winged horse, Pegasus appears in the Greek mythology, but as the figure that forms (trains) the constellation it (he,she) does not have wings, Eratóstenes was considering this identification as slightly credibly.
