Hidra english


The Hydra was the sister of the Nemean lion and Euristio chose it as the subject of the second work of Heracles, knowing that the hydra wanted to avenge the death of the beast. Heracles left Tiryns wearing on his head, lion's mane and Euristio shouted him to leave his trophies out of town. Heracles ignored and left accompanied by his nephew Iolaus.
The people of Lerna for Drinking water should pass in front of the lair of the Hydra. Many died devoured by the monster's mouths with the help of the crab Cancer.
when Heracles came to the lair of the Hydra, he began to cut off heads, but for every severed head stuck out two. They sought help from Iolaus to cauterizate the necks and when only the central head was cut off and buried under a large stone that can be seen on the outskirts of Lerna.
Heracles dipped his arrows in the poisoned blood of the Hydra and returned to Tiryns.
Eurystheus did not recognize the work of Heracles because he had been helped by Yolao.

Hercules English

Hercules was the name in Roman mythology Greek mythology of the hero Heracles, being a metathesis of the Greek name. He was the son of Jupiter, the Roman equivalent of the Greek god Zeus and the mortal Alcmena. He conducted twelve great work, called The Twelve Labours of Heracles and was deified.
The Romans adopted the Greek version of his life and works essentially unchanged, but added anecdotal detail of their own, some of them linking the hero with the geography of the western Mediterranean. Details of his cult were also adapted to Spain.

La hidra era la hermana del león de Nemea y Euristio la escogió como objeto del segundo trabajo de Heracles, sabiendo que la hidra quería vengar la muerte de la fiera. Heracles dejó Tirinto llevando sobre la cabeza, la melena del león y Euristio le gritó que dejara sus trofeos fuera de la ciudad. Heracles no hizo caso y partió acompañado de su sobrino Yolao.
Los habitantes de Lerna, para proveerse de agua potable, debían de pasar por delante de la guarida de la Hidra. Muchos morían devorados por las bocas del monstruo con la ayuda del cangrejo del cáncer.
Cuando Heracles se acercó a la guarida de la Hidra, comenzó a cortarle cabezas, pero por cada cabeza cortada le salían dos. Pidió ayuda a Yolao que cauterizaba los cuellos y cuándo sólo quedó la cabeza central la cortó y la enterró debajo de una gran piedra que puede verse a las afueras de Lerna.
Heracles sumergió sus flechas en la sangre envenenada de la Hidra y regresó a Tirinto .
Euristeo no reconoció el trabajo de Heracles porque le había ayudado Yolao.
