Tantalium

The tantalum is a chemical element of atomic number 73 that places in the group 5 of the periodic table of the elements. His symbol is Ta. It is a question of a blue greyish, hard, ductile metal presents metallic sheen and resists very well the corrosion. He is in the mineral tantalita.His name resembles Tantalum, son of Zeus and father of Níobe. It suffered a mythical punishment for they be delivering by the drink of the gods (the ambrosia) to the human beings. Zeus condemned it to the eternal and like that thirst, plunged, when it was trying to drink the waters they were separating.It is in use principally in the manufacture of electrolytic condensers, as well as in mobile phones,GPS , etc.It was discovered by the Swedish Jöns Jakob Berzelius in 1820.
